            CLK Discussion

·   Tommy reported that he submitted a list of 30 questions to Patrick pointing out issues that the Western Region had concerning CLK. He gave an overview of the questions, and said that in light of the response to the questions, the Western Region should possibly reconsider their stance on CLK. April asked to have the questions and responses sent out by listserv so the region could review them for the December 4th meeting. Tommy also reported that he requested all information concerning CLK from Patrick and will forward information on as it is received.

            Strategic Plan

·   NAB asked the Western Region to create resolutions to the questioned posed. Tommy volunteered to write the resolutions for both CLK and the Strategic Plan and will submit rough drafts to the western region before the next meeting.

·   Vanessa said that she had been assigned the write up for the concept of splitting the strategic plan team and submit that to the region for the next meeting.

 

            Updates to Regional Constitution

·   April opened the floor for any questions or comments concerning the Regional Constitution that was sent out. None were voiced.

 

New Business

 

Updates from Clubs

Nevada Reno

They had 27 members attend their last meeting. There is discussion about the collegiate FFA and 4-H combining into one club. They have been practicing with Parli Pro during meetings. They also have been working to establish training procedures for January with their new officers.

UC Davis

They were listed on the Student Affairs website, which raised awareness of the club. Currently they have had 6 emails concerning the piece posted.

Colorado State University

They won the College of Ag pumpkin carving contest

Wyoming

Amber has been working on being able to attend club meetings.


Dale signed off after commenting on closed meeting


Regional Conference

Tommy mentioned that he was going to send April the information he has on the conference to date. He has a letter of support from the Dean of the college. Their theme is going to be “Bringing out the Green” to keep with the nationals theme.
